How to publish
Quadrante publishes manuscripts, either theoretical or empirical ones, in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English related with mathematic education.
Submitted papers should not exceed 10 000 words and should be presented in double space with large margins to allow editing annotations and corrections. An abstract in English (200 words maximum) should be included, as well as some keywords (maximum six).
Pages should be consecutively numbered and figures should be presented with enough quality to be printed, and properly numbered and labeled. Tables should also be numbered and labeled. References should be done according to APA’s style.
Papers’ proposals should be written in a way that the anonymity is guaranteed in the process review, avoiding for instance, mentioning places or institutions that allow author identification. If papers’ author wishes to mention personal works, he can do it according to the following example: (XXXXX, 2007). After the review process is completed full information will be included.
Submitted papers, with the abstract and keywords, should be sent by e-mail to the following e-mail address: email@example.com blinded version -Word file-, without author identification. Full paper identification (title, author’s name and affiliation, as well as the e-mail address) should be sent by the same way on a separated file.

Angel Gutiérrez, Universidad de Valencia, Spain
Leonor Santos, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal
Quadrante, Review of Research in Mathematics Education, aims to stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences, to disseminate research papers related to the teaching and learning of mathematics, contributing to the debate of multiple and diverse perspectives within the mathematics education domain. This journal publishes manuscripts in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English, on theoretical, methodological, empirical and historical issues concerning mathematic education. Submitted papers are subjected to a double-blind peer review process.
Quadrante has two issues per year, one of them thematic. In 2018 the thematic issue shall be dedicated to the theme of Teaching and Learning Geometry. Geometry is a part of the mathematic curriculum that was not along the years been considered as essential. Nevertheless, in our days, Geometry contributes to the understanding of physical environments, to solve problems in mathematics and others sciences and to develop mathematical reasoning. Its particularities demand a significant attention from mathematics education researchers. Many are the issues related with the learning and teaching of Geometry, both in the context of students and of teachers’ professional development.
As editors of this thematic issue, we would like to invite you to submit an article to this journal. Submitted papers should not exceed 10.000 words (including references and the equivalent to tables and figures). An abstract in English (200 words maximum) should be included, as well as a maximum of 6 keywords. References should be written in APA style.
All submitted papers are subject to a double-blind peer review process. Paper proposals should be presented in two versions, both in word files: 1) a blinded version with no author identification, and 2) a full version, including authors’ names and affiliations, as well as e-mail addresses. To guaranty the anonymity in the reviewing process, the blind version must avoid mentioning places, institutions or any other data that could identify the author. References to the authors’ papers should be indicated as (XXXX, 2016), for example.
We hope you will accept our invitation and look forward to receiving your contribution to the thematic issue of Quadrante on Teaching and Learning Geometry. Please send your proposal paper by October 1st 2017 to:
