Quadrante is a journal that fosters the discussion of ideas and experiences, disseminating research on mathematics teaching and learning. It aims at contributing to the debate across a plurality of research perspectives that permeate mathematics education.
The journal accepts papers concerning empirical or theoretical research, in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English.
The journal´s management is held by the Coordinating Committee of the Research Working Group of APM, and the Quadrante’s Editor and its Editorial Board are responsible for the reviewing process and the final selection of papers for publication.
The previous editions of Quadrante are available at the APM store, on-line, or at the APM’s office in Lisbon. You may contact APM for further details on how to get access to Quadrante.

Editorial policy
Quadrante is a periodic publication of the Portuguese Association of Mathematics Teachers (APM) and is one of the main activities of the APM Research Group Work in mathematics education. Two issues are published per year, one of them is thematic.
Quadrante is a research journal aiming to stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences, disseminating research papers related to the teaching and learning of mathematics, and its main aim is to contribute to the debate of the multiple and diverse perspectives within the mathematics education domain.
Quadrante publishes manuscripts in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English, on theoretical, methodological, empirical and historical issues concerning mathematic education. Submitted papers are subjected to a peer review anonymous process.
The Editor of Quadrante and its Editorial Board are responsible for the edition of this publication, including the establishment of its general editorial orientation, the criteria for the acceptance and publication of the papers, the definition of the review proces.

How to publish
Quadrante publishes manuscripts, either theoretical or empirical ones, in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English related with mathematic education.
Submitted papers should not exceed 8 000 words and should be presented in double space with large margins to allow editing annotations and corrections. An abstract in English (200 words maximum) should be included, as well as some keywords (maximum six).
Pages should be consecutively numbered and figures should be presented with enough quality to be printed, and properly numbered and labeled. Tables should also be numbered and labeled. References should be done according to APA’s style.
Papers’ proposals should be written in a way that the anonymity is guaranteed in the process review, avoiding for instance, mentioning places or institutions that allow author identification. If papers’ author wishes to mention personal works, he can do it according to the following example: (XXXXX, 2018). After the review process is completed full information will be included.
Submitted papers, with the abstract and keywords, should be sent by e-mail to the following e-mail address: quadrante@apm.ptin blinded version -Word file-, without author identification. Full paper identification (title, author’s name and affiliation, as well as the e-mail address) should be sent by the same way on a separated file.
