The program T3 started in 1987, in the USA, with professors Bert Waits and Franklin Demana of the Ohio State University.
From 1988 to 1992, took place an high number of courses and from 1993 with the help of secondary school teachers, new material was created for new courses. This project was called T3-Teachers Teaching with Technology.
The first project extended to Europe, being the first courses made in England in 1996/1997.
In Profmat, Almada 1996, a special session took place and was announced Portugal's participation on T3 EUROPE, through APM (Associação de Professores de Matemática).

The T3 program has as main objective the teachers training in the use of graphic technology in Mathematics teaching.

The courses materials are based on international experience and regarding the national curriculum.

All sessions are made with Texas Instruments equipment, company that sponsors this program in all countries.
